ClipSignal Studio

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ClipSignal Studio collects, uses, stores, and protects information when creators and authorized team members use our web application, connect TikTok, review performance information, upload videos, create TikTok drafts, or use Direct Post. ClipSignal Studio is designed to give creators control over their own TikTok workflow while limiting the information we request to what is needed to provide the Service.

1. Scope

This policy applies to ClipSignal Studio websites, web application pages, TikTok authorization flows, upload and Direct Post workflows, account dashboards, webhook processing, support communications, and related operational services. It does not apply to TikTok, cloud providers, browsers, payment processors, analytics providers, or other third-party services that maintain their own privacy policies.

2. Information You Provide

We may collect information that you provide directly, including your name, email address, organization or team name, uploaded video files, captions, posting settings, support messages, and other materials you submit through the Service. If you use ClipSignal Studio on behalf of a creator, client, brand, or company, you are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to provide that information and manage that account.

3. Information We Receive From TikTok

With your authorization, ClipSignal Studio may request access to TikTok account identity, basic profile information, profile links, profile metadata, account-level statistics, public video lists, public video counters, creator publishing settings, draft upload permission, Direct Post permission, and webhook events related to the app integration. The exact information available depends on the TikTok scopes you approve, the TikTok account type, TikTok's API availability, TikTok's review status, and TikTok's platform rules.

4. TikTok Scopes and Use

ClipSignal Studio uses TikTok permissions only for product features requested by the user:

5. How We Use Information

We use information to operate ClipSignal Studio, authenticate users, connect TikTok accounts, display account and video performance, prepare upload workflows, perform draft uploads and Direct Post requests, process TikTok webhook events, troubleshoot errors, secure the Service, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, maintain logs, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use TikTok data to build unrelated advertising profiles.

6. Publishing and User Control

ClipSignal Studio does not publish videos automatically. Draft upload and Direct Post workflows require user action. For Direct Post, the Service asks TikTok for creator posting settings and requires the user to select posting options before sending the video. Users are responsible for reviewing captions, privacy levels, disclosure settings, music confirmations, branded-content settings, interaction settings, and any other TikTok-provided requirements before posting.

7. Cookies and Sessions

ClipSignal Studio uses cookies and similar browser storage to maintain secure sessions, remember authentication state, protect OAuth flows, and operate the web application. TikTok access tokens are handled server-side and protected in HTTP-only encrypted session cookies or server-side infrastructure. Tokens are not intentionally exposed to browser JavaScript.

8. Service Logs and Security Data

We may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, request paths, timestamps, error messages, webhook delivery metadata, upload status, API response status, and security events. We use this information to operate, monitor, debug, and secure the Service.

9. Data Sharing

ClipSignal Studio does not sell TikTok user data. We do not share TikTok tokens or connected-account data with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties. We may share information with infrastructure providers, security tools, support tools, and professional advisers only as needed to operate the Service, protect users, comply with law, or complete actions requested by the user.

10. Third-Party Services

ClipSignal Studio integrates with TikTok and may use cloud hosting, storage, logging, monitoring, email, and security providers. These services process information according to their own terms and privacy practices. Your use of TikTok through ClipSignal Studio remains subject to TikTok's own policies, account settings, API rules, app review requirements, and creator posting settings.

11. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain security, complete requested workflows, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, comply with legal obligations, and keep operational records. Uploaded files, generated previews, logs, and TikTok workflow records may be deleted or rotated on operational schedules. If you disconnect TikTok, we stop using the authorization for new requests, but prior operational records may remain where retention is required for security, audit, or legal reasons.

12. Your Choices

You can disconnect TikTok from the ClipSignal Studio interface where available. You may also revoke access from TikTok account settings. You can choose not to upload files, not to create drafts, not to use Direct Post, or not to approve specific posting settings. You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or export of information, subject to identity verification, legal requirements, and technical limitations.

13. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including server-side token handling, HTTPS, session protections, webhook signature verification where supported, access controls, and operational logging. No service can guarantee perfect security. Users should protect their devices, browser sessions, email accounts, TikTok accounts, and passwords.

14. International Processing

ClipSignal Studio and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Data protection laws may differ from the laws where you live. By using the Service, you understand that information may be transferred, stored, and processed where ClipSignal Studio or its providers operate.

15. Children's Privacy

ClipSignal Studio is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to the Service, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of ClipSignal Studio after a policy update means you acknowledge the updated policy.
